Giving

Click the button above to navigate to our online giving platform. You can also drop a giving envelope off to the ushers on the way out of the sanctuary.

We appreciate your generosity!

Why do we give?: In the Old Testament, believers were required to bring a tenth of their income for the support of the ministry and the needs of the poor. The New Testament teaches that we should give as we are “able and even beyond [our] ability” (2 Cor. 8:3) pointing to the extraordinary generosity that Christ has demonstrated to us.

We know that when we trust God, and put Him first with our giving, He takes our gifts and blesses us back many times over. Thank you again for your faithfulness and generosity!

he Healing of Aeneas
Acts 9:32-33

Now as Peter went here and there among them all, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda. There he found a man named Aeneas, bedridden for eight years, who was paralyzed.

Acts 9:34-35
And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; rise and make your bed.” And immediately he rose. And all the residents of Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.

1. HIS NAME IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO HEAL US IN THE MOST TRYING TIMES. (V.33

2. HIS NAME IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO HELP US OVERCOME ANY SITUATION. (V.34

3. HIS NAME IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO CHANGE THE LIVES OF TWO ENTIRE CITIES. (V.35

God’s mighty power causes unbelievers to turn to Him in saving faith and should encourage us to proclaim the gospel.

Dorcas Restored to Life
Acts 9:36-37

Now there was in Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas. She was full of good works and acts of charity. In those days she became ill and died, and when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.

Acts 9:38
Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, urging him, “Please come to us without delay.”

Acts 9:39-40
So Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him weeping and showing tunics and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them. But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.

Jesus demonstrates his power and presence through people’s faith

Whose presence are you pointing people to through your faith and faith-filled actions?
Are you a restorative agent in the lives of those around you?

Acts 9:41-43
And he gave her his hand and raised her up. Then, calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive. And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord. And he stayed in Joppa for many days with one Simon, a tanner.

1. THEY HAD FAITH WHEN THERE WAS NO HOPE (V.38)

2. PETER’S FAITH PUT HIM IN THE RIGHT POSITION FOR THE BEST RESULTS. (V.40)

We have to learn that in order for our faith to be in full operation, we need to get rid of all the distractions that are in our way.

3.THE RESULTS OF GREAT FAITH AGAIN TURNED PEOPLE TO LORD. (V.42)
